On this Monday, officials of Denver Broncos have just decided to sack their first-year head coach Nathaniel Hackett. The decision came as a fast follow up to the team’s humiliating defeat against the Los Angeles Rams on Christmas Day.
Greg Penner, the owner of Broncos asserted in a statement that the timing of this decision will allow their franchise to achieve a jump start on the new head coach search. During the discussion George Paton, general manager of Broncos was also present. He indicated that experience will be a plus but not a requirement in the new coach hunt.
This season was already an embarrassing one for the Denver football team with 4-10 record. During the AFC West side’s final match against the Rams, the team decided to go with two defensive expert Vance Joseph and Vic Fangio. This decision played out negatively as the Broncos faced an embarrassing loss of 51-14.
