WTA Auckland Open 2023: Schedule, How to Watch, Venue, and Seeds

The Auckland Open is a WTA and ATP Tour tennis event held annually in New Zealand. Men’s and women’s discipline both feature separate competition with singles and doubles events.

The WTA Auckland Open 2023 is officially titled “WTA ASB Classic 2023”. This is to feature the sponsorship with ASB Bank. It will be the 36th official WTA event in Auckland.

WTA Auckland Open will be a WTA 250 category event. The 32 professional player featuring event will be played in outdoor hard surface.

Coco Gauff is the leading seed in this year’s Auckland Open. She is currently ranked 7th in WTA international standings. Gauff reached the finals of French Open and quarterfinals at US Open last year. Additionally, her two WTA 1000 doubles title pushed her WTA doubles rank to 1st in August.

Sloane Stephens is the 2nd seed in the upcoming event. Currently ranked 37th in WTA singles, she earned her first title since 2018 last year. Upsetting Marie Bouzkova, she won the Abierto Zapopan event in Mexico. Stephens was also a quarterfinalist in the French Open 2022.

Young tennis star, Leylah Fernandez is the 3rd seed at present. The 2021 US Open finalist reached the quarterfinals at French Open last year. She also successfully defended her Monterrey Open title in 2022. Recently she qualified for the 1st round of Australian Open 2023.
