Fourth stage of the ongoing seven-stage professional UCI road cycling competition at Catalunya just reached completion. There fans witnessed an exciting win from Aussie competitor Kaden Groves.
The fourth stage of Volta a Catalunya was a category 1 climb stage, which meant an advantageous position for fast finishers. Competitors started near Lliva and concluded the race reaching the coastline near Sabadell. It was a 188.2 km long race.
This stage saw the creation of a five-man breakaway group, that was on lead by two minutes and thirty-two seconds from the rest. It consisted of Nans Peters from AG2R-Citroen, Christopher Juul-Jensen from Team Jayco-Alula, Torstein Træen from Uno-X Pro Cycling, Roger Adria from Equipo Kern Pharma, and David de la Cruz of Astana-Qazaqstan.
However, Alpecin-Deceuninck’s Kaden Groves came victorious in the event. While, Bryan Coquard finished second. Team Israel-Premiertech’s Corbin Strong finished the race in 3rd. Currently, Primoz Roglic is the lead competitor of Volta a Catalunya via general classification. Soudal-QuickStep’s Remco Evenepoel is just behind Roglic with 2nd position.
