When will the Masters 2023 resume?

The Masters 2023 started on Thursday, April 6 at the Augusta National Golf Course. But, during the second round, the tournament was suspended due to inappropriate weather conditions.

Due to high wind, three trees fell in the 17th hole entrance. But fortunately, there were no casualties after the incident.

This was the announcement from the officials,

“Augusta National Golf Club can confirm that no injuries were reported from three trees that were blown over to the left of the No. 17 tee due to wind.  The safety and well-being of everyone attending the Master’s Tournament will always be the top priority of the Club. We will continue to closely monitor the weather today and through the Tournament.”

Initially, the game was suspended for nearly 30 minutes. The match officials suspended the game at 3:07 p.m. EDT and resumed at 3:28 p.m. But, there was a high probability of thunderstorms, that’s why the officials had to suspend the rest of the second round.

The tournament will again resume on the next day. The second round will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. American golfer Brooks Koepka is currently on the front seat after the second round.
