Pena vs Nunes rematch in UFC 277 main event to be aired on Saturday

UFC 277 is set to be broadcasted live on pay-per-view. The event takes place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX on Saturday, July 30.

In the main event, defending bantamweight title holder Julianna Pena (11-4) will fight against former 135-pound titleholder Amanda Nunes (21-5) in their rematch.

Being one of the most anticipated rematches in Women’s MMA history, it comes following their fight at UFC 269 co-main event last December. The bout lasted eight minutes and 26 seconds as Peña submitted the lioness in the second round to seize the belt. The Venezuelan Vixen, having a no-quit attitude, tried to be as relentless as possible.

The 32-year-old Pena asked those who can’t accept her as a champ to get used to it. “I did everything that I said I was going to do,” she said of the first fight. “I am offended by people that think that it was a fluke because I did everything that I said I was going to do. July 30th, I’m coming”, she threatens— ready to prove her worth once again and defend her championship title.

Another high-voltage title fight will take place under the co-main event banner. Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara-France’s face-off for the temporary flyweight title will add some extra sauce to the dish this Saturday.

Fans from the United Kingdom will be able to watch actions from the event via UFC Fight Pass and BT Sport.
