Top Valorant organization from Singapore released its roster after narrowly missing qualifying for the biggest Valorant tournament of the year, Champions 2022.
Bleed Esports has been a prominent valorant team for the past year. The Singaporean org had a roster of mixed nationalities. Since Bleed got into the competitive Valorant scene in September last year, they have been performing on a decent level. Despite the consistency, Bleed just could not give the final blow as they always failed to qualify for an International LAN event.
The org changed the roster multiple times. They brought two Swedish professional players, maxie and pyth, to strengthen the roster. Although the changes did bring success on a regional level, they stumbled every time when it mattered the most.
At the 2022 VCT APAC LCQ, Bleed came to the tournament in their best shape. In the first two rounds, they blew Alter Ego and Team Secret off the server, winning both matches by a 2-0 margin.
However, the story repeated as Bleed failed to beat Boom Esports in the upper bracket finals losing the series 2-1. The worst was yet to happen. Bleed Esports faced Onic G in the lower bracket finals of the APAC Last Chance Qualifier.
Deryeon and co. started the series with a dominant show, defeating Onic 13-10. When qualifying for the finals looked like smooth sailing, Bleed could not capitalize on its advantage. Onic made a brilliant comeback and won the rest of the 2 maps of the best three series.
The final map of the series was absolute heartbreak for Bleed as they crashed out of the LCQ, losing the game in a suspenseful overtime.
Following the loss, the Bleed Esports management took to Twitter and announced the release of their Valorant roster. The cause behind the disbanding is speculated to be Bleed’s repeated failure to compete at the highest stage of Valorant.

With the franchising system just around the corner, the management plausibly found it prudent to prepare for the next season with a fresh roster. As Bleed Esports gets disbanded, it is not unlikely that we see other leading organizations rebranding themselves, and preparing for the upcoming season of the Valorant Champions Tour.
