NFL rookie Brian Robinson Jr. of the Washington Commanders has been shot multiple times in an attempted carjacking around 06:00 pm this Sunday.
Earlier today, reports started coming about a possible robbery at the 1000 block of H Street in Washington. Upon further investigation, it was found that the victim was Robinson Jr, the 23-year-old RB of the Commanders. The NFL rookie got shot twice in the struggle. Fortunately, the wounds turned out to be non-fatal as confirmed by the doctors. Later, Robinson himself verified that he is well and healing in an Instagram story. “Surgery went well. Thanks for the prayers. God is great,” he wrote.

Washington Commanders’ coach Ron Rivera went to the hospital following the incident. Sometime later, the head coach of Commanders took to Twitter to issue a statement regarding the situation on behalf of the team. “I just got done visiting w/Brian. He is in good spirits and wanted me to thank everyone for their kind words, prayers & support,” stated Rivera. “He wants his teammates to know he appreciates them all for reaching out, and he loves them all & will be back soon doing what he does best.”

The assaulter has not been apprehended yet. Nor is his identity known. However, the police did recover the weapon of the assault. The authority in charge also confirmed that a thorough investigation is ongoing, and whoever perpetuated the crime will be arrested as soon as possible.
Brian Robinson Jr. was a two-time CFP national champion. He got drafted in the third round of the NFL Draft 2022 for the Washington Commanders. The 23-year-old has a long future ahead of him. Fans across the world are praying for his speedy recovery.
