Adam Scott Delivers Sincere Explanation For His Decision Not To Join LIV Golf

It has cost a lot to debate Adam Scott’s return to LIV. The well-known Australian was cited alongside Lee Westwood and Ian Poulter as seasoned PGA Tour players who were switching to the rival circuit on social media and in numerous sources. The fact that Scott claimed the schedule LIV was putting forward was “appealing” to most golfers in February had created the confusion.

However, Scott’s name wasn’t one of them as more names were revealed. He instead became more and more involved with the PGA Tour. He was present during the Delaware players’ meeting and praised it. Joaquin Niemann played a practice round alongside Scott as his decision at the Tour Championship came down to the wire.

The Genesis Invitational in February saw players debating LIV’s merits for the first time in front of an audience. Tiger Woods had made it clear that he supported the PGA Tour. Jon Rahm swore allegiance to the Tour. The appeal of competing on the circuit Max Homa had grown up watching was described. LIV was dubbed “dead in the sea” by Rory McIlroy.

Scott’s justification for remaining on the PGA Tour was fairly straightforward. He’s won the 2013 Master, one of the major competitions. But he wants more now that he’s 42 years old. From now on, he wants to concentrate on his majors. He, therefore, had a private cause to skip. And Scott simply said he might not be ready for it now.
