The Bellator MMA promotions is back with a new and exciting mixed martial arts competition event, Bellator 289 scheduled for this Friday.

The upcoming Bellator event is officially titled “Bellator 289: Stots vs Sabatello”. The Friday mixed martial arts competition will feature a total of 11 bouts. Among these, 4 will be featured as the main card fights, while the rest of 7 will be under the preliminary card.
The title fight features a bantamweight class bout between Raufeon Stots and Danny Sabatello. Stots will defend his Bellator Bantamweight World Championship title with the fight. It will be the first face off of the two participants against each other. Furthermore, the co-main bout is Liz Carmouche’s title defense fight against Juliana Velasquez. Liz will be defending her Bellator Women’s Flyweight World Championship title.
Raufeon Stots is an American MMA professional with a 18-1 professional record. During the recent Bellator 279, he defeated Juan Archuleta via KO and won the Bantamweight World Championship title. Last year, he fought and won against Magomed Magomedov and Josh Hill via unanimous decision. Stots is currently 10th in Bellator men’s pound for pound rankings.
Dannyt Sabatello is an American mixed martial artist with a professional record of 13 wins to 1 loss. In his last three bouts, he faced Leandro Higo, Jornel Lugo, and Brett Jones. Sabatello successfully defeated them via unanimous decision. This led him through the Bellator Bantamweight World Grand Prix tournament’s quarterfinal stage.
