All England Open is a professional badminton tournament. It is played annually in England under the BWF World Tour’s Super 1000 series calendar. The event is considered the world’s oldest badminton tournament.

The upcoming All England Open is officially titled as “Yonex All England Open Badminton Championship 2023.” It will be the 114th annual edition of the long running badminton competition. Like every year, the event will host singles and doubles compeititon for both men’s and women’s discipline.

The upcoming edition of the event is set to feature $1.25 million prize pool. In addition, BWF points will be distributed to the top 32 participants. The winner of the singles competitions will receive $87,500 each. While the doubles winners will divide the $92,500 purse among themselves.

Danish professional, Viktor Axelsen is the leading seed of the All England Open 2023 men’s singles competition. The defending champion of men’s singles 2022 in All England is currently ranked 1st in the BWF men’s singles ranking. He recently defended another of his title at the season-opening Malaysia Open 2023.

Akane Yamaguchi, the defending champion of women’s singles in All England Open 2022 is also the leading seed at the latest competition. She is the top-ranked badminton professional in BWF women’s singles ranking at present. Yamaguchi won the women’s singles at BWF World Champions of last year. She was also the winner at this year’s season opener at Malaysia Open.

All England Open 2023 Prize Money Distribution:

BWF has increased the prize pool for the All England Open from $1 million to $1.25 million. As a result, all the standing will receive a significant bump in their purse share. Additionally, BWF points will be provided to every participant. The winner is set to receive 12,000 and the runner-up will earn 10,200 points.
