The defending champion from Denmark, Viktor Axelsen is the first seed in this event. With a career record of 434-139, he is currently ranked 1st worldwide in the BWF leaderboard. The player had an excellent run in 2022, winning the second All-England Open title, the third European Championship title, and the second World Championship title.
