Thailand Masters 2023: Schedule, How to Watch, Venue, Seeds, and Prize Distribution

The super 300 series of the 2023 BWF World Tour is initiated with the latest badminton tournament in Thailand. This article will provide the latest details on the schedule, live stream, seeds, and other information on the upcoming Thailand Masters 2023.


Thailand Masters is an international badminton tournament that was inaugurated in 2016. However, for the past two years, the event was taken out of the BWF calendar. With the upcoming 6th iteration, it is coming back as a Super 300 series event under the BWF World Tour.

Thailand Masters 2023 will feature singles and doubles tournaments for both men’s and women’s disciplines. The event will be held in Bangkok. This year’s iteration is featuring a $210,000 prize pool, which is a significant step up from the previous $150,000 pool.

Both the initial 1st and 2nd seeds of men’s singles, Kunlavut Vitidsam and Lu Guangzu withdrew from the event. Therefore, the seed list is currently Lee Cheuk Yiu from Hong Kong. The professional is currently ranked 14th in the BWF men’s singles ranking.

While in the women’s singles, the leading 3 seeds respectively Ratchanok Intanon, Carolina Marin, and Busanan Ongbamrungphan withdrew before the event. Chinese professional, Han Yue is currently leading the event. She is ranked 11th in BWF women’s singles rankings. In 2022, She won at the Hylo Open as her 6th Super 300 title.

Thailand Masters 2023 is returning this Tuesday, January 31, 2023. On day one, first round games will begin at around 10:00 p.m. ET. The 6-day event will run till the following Sunday, February 5, 2023.

Like most BWF World Tour events, Thailand Masters 2023 is not featuring broadcast partnership with any tv channel networks. As such, the event will not be available for fans to watch on TV.

Badminton World Federation’s official YouTube channel “BWF TV” is the only digital distributor of all their World Tour events. The upcoming Thailand Masters will also be available as match basis daily live streams on the YouTube channel for any international viewer to access and live stream online without any extra subscription.

Nimiburt Stadium, locally known as the Nimibutr Gymnasium will host the upcoming international tennis event. The indoor sporting arena has over 5,600-seat capacity. It is located in Bangkok, Thailand.
