Bellator 293: Golm vs. James Purse, Payout, and Salaries

Bellator is ready once again to organize another thrilling professional MMA event this Friday night in California. Bellator 293 is set to feature a highly anticipated bout between popular professionals Golm and James in the main event card.



A total of 15 professional fights will be showcased across two cards, with the main card featuring 5 bouts and the preliminary card 10 bouts. Marcelo Golm and Daniel James will go head-to-head in the main event card. While the co-main event card will host a showdown between Cat Zingano and Leah McCourt.

Bellator 293: Purse and Payout:

According to the official announcement, complete purse amount for the upcoming Bellator 293 will be around $900k. This sum will contain player purses, performance bonus, and match bonuses. Moreover, $375k will strictly be allocated for the main event card fight. As the event is not PPV exclusive, there will be no PPV share contract with any player.

According to official statement, Bellator 293 will spend over $700,000 over 15 fights. Which is a large six figure sum for a major Bellator event. Furthermore, there will be additional bonuses based on fighters’ performance. The main bout “Golm vs James” enlists $250,000 prize pool for the fighters.

Main event card fighter, Marcello Golm is a popular Brazilian professional mixed martial artist in the heavyweight division. Holding a career record of 10-3, the fighter from Sao Paulo currently is on a 4-win streak. Golm is currently ranked 5th in Bellator heavyweight rankings.

Last year in July, he defeated Davion Franklin via submission to win at Bellator 283. This earned him a $20,000 win bonus along with the $20,000 guaranteed purse.

Golm is expected to bag a $100,000 guaranteed purse following his fight against James. Currently, there is no indication on win bonus. However, there will be a fight week incentive and a chance at an additional bonus through performance.

How much will Daniel James earn?

Daniel James is a heavyweight mixed martial artist from Illinois. This 41-year-old professional has a career record of 14-6 with an impressive 64% KO-to-win ratio. The American Predator last fought Tyrell Fortune in Bellator 288 in November of 2022.

James’ last fight pushed his rank to 7th in Bellator’s heavyweight class. In addition, he bagged a $10,000 win bonus with a $10,000 guaranteed purse over one night.

From his upcoming fight, James will earn a guaranteed purse of $150,000. However, there will be no additional win bonus or PPV share this time. Although, he will get a fight week incentive and a chance to capture the performance of the night bonus.
