David Benavidez will be facing Caleb Plant on March 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The fighters will face each other for the Interim WBC World Super Middleweight Title. The winner of the fight will get a chance to fight against Canelo Alvarez.
But, David Benavidez is ready to fight Alvarez. He doesn’t seem conscious about his fight against Plant, all his focus is on the fight against Canelo. Benavidez said,
“First we have the fight and the winner will be mandatory for Canelo.”
“I am a Mexican monster who goes for the knockout in all the fights and Saturday will be no different.”
It seems he will be enjoying the fight, as he knows he can defeat Plant easily. His fight with Alvarez won’t be easy, as Canelo is the current WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring super middleweight title holed. Benavidez added,
“I think it will be a very big fight, it could be in Las Vegas or in Mexico. I’m ready to go and fight Alvarez; I just want a chance to show him I’m better.”
But before that, he needs to defeat Plant at the Grand Garden Arena. Plant last fought on October 2022, where he defeated Anthony Dirrell with a left hook. David Benavidez, on the other hand is holding a record of 26-0.
