Mixed martial arts fans are getting ready for the upcoming Friday night as two exciting MMA events are just announced. Among these, LFA 148 will feature a bout for the next welterweight champion.

The latest LFA event is officially titled “LFA 148: Leyva vs Brown”. Featuring a total of 9 bouts, the event will be held this Friday in the United States. Among these, 6 bouts will be part of the main card. While the rest of 3 bouts are under the prelim card.

Alfonso Leyva and Chris Brown are to feature as the competitors of the title fight in the event. It will have the LFA vacant Welterweight Championship title at stake. The bout will be their first ever official face off against each other.

Alfonso Leyva is a Mexican mixed martial artist, better known as the “Sniper”. The undefeated fighter has a professional record of 6 wins and all by KO. This earned him his quirky nickname. Leyva’s LFA debut happened this June with a TKO based winning bout against Daniel Reis. Before that, he was a regular fighter at UWC Mexico.

Christopher Brown is an MMA professional from America, with a 9-4 record. Called by fans “Breezy the Future”, he has a KO to win ratio of 44%. This year, Brown participated in 3 bouts. He won both LFA bouts against Haris Talundzic and Steven Jones. However, he lost against Carlos Miranda at the PFL Challenger Series 8 on April.
