The Women’s T20 World Cup has been a successful event since it was first held in 2009. With ICC’s authorization, the event has been organizing biennially with the exclusive WT20I format.
ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 will mark the 8th edition of the biennial ICC event. This year South Africa has received the opportunity to host the event. A total of 10 international women’s cricket teams has qualified to participate in the event.
The upcoming T20 event was originally scheduled to initiate at the end of 2022. However, ICC postponed the event to February 2023 due to the schedule colliding with FIFA World Cup 2022. Three different stadiums in South Africa were selected as the hosting venue for this year’s T20 World Cup.
