The top 10 esports organizations in the world in 2022

Esports, or electronic sports, are a type of digital video gaming competition. Just a few years back, the entertainment genre had a rather niche market. However, the current surge in low-cost electronics, accessible internet connectivity, and a variety of other circumstances have propelled the genre into mainstream attention. As a result, most young people are familiar with esports nowadays.

Esports, like other forms of sports, has seen its fair share of franchising. The availability of international competition and the opportunity for profit has changed the views of many organizations on the type of entertainment. Due to this, there are currently a good number of esports companies, and new organizations are being established regularly.

While a plethora of organizations existed since the CS:GO, Dota2, and League of legends era, the battle royale craze and recent epidemic helped esports become more mainstream than ever. Games like Valorant, Apex Legends, and Fortnite also encouraged more fans to enter the competitive scene.

Interestingly, one of the most prominent esports companies, Faze Clan, publicly declared that their worth exceeded $650 million recently.
