Cristiano Ronaldo is not returning Portugal After Quarter Final Defeat

After an unfortunate loss in the Quarterfinal, Portugal is out of the FIFA World Cup 2022. With this, Cristiano Ronaldo’s world cup journey has ended, and the legend will not be able to have the taste of the trophy, as there is very little chance of him participating in the next world cup.

Ronaldo was not in the starting XI in the quarter-final match. He came on the field at the 51st minute of the match, but the Portuguese superstar couldn’t do anything. Ronaldo is reported to stay in Qatar after the defeat, he won’t be returning home with his teammates.

Ronaldo is expected to make a trip to the middle east after his devastating world cup journey. Then he will return to his homeland. Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, and some more players will also not be returning.

Cristiano couldn’t show his light in Portugal’s world cup campaign. He only scored once in the group round in his match against ghana. He scored the goal from a Penalty. Ronaldo was benched in all two knockout matches of the competition.
