Arnold Palmer Invitational is a popular Florida-based professional golf tournament. It is currently being played under the PGA Tour calendar. The ongoing Arnold Palmer Invitational 2023 marks the 45th official edition of the event.
The 2023 field saw a 120-player field on the first round at the Bay Hill golf event. It featured a $20 million purse pool, the same as the one featured in the previous iteration. Thanks to the massive purse size, nine of the top 10 OWGR rankers are participating in the event.
The champion of the ongoing PGA Tour invitational event will receive a $3.6 million prize following the completion on March 6th. While the following two positions, the 2nd and 3rd place holder will receive $2.18 million and $1.38 million respectively.
The top-65 players to make a cut from the initial two rounds will receive a share of the $20 million purse pool this year. According to an official statement, even the last 3 position holders 63rd, 64th, and 65th competitions will earn $44,600, $44,200, and $43,800 respectively. As the prize pool size is the same, there isn’t much difference between the purse distribution of the ongoing Arnold Palmer Invitational 2023 event and its previous iteration.
