The field has featured 144 players, headed by Rory McIlroy, Matt Fitzpatrick, Viktor Hovland, and many other world-class players. The Top 65 players advanced after a 36-hole cut.

The total Italian Open 2022 Purse is €3 million. The winner is expected to receive a share of €500,000. This is the standard 16.67 percent of the purse according to the European Tour’s prize money distribution chart.
That’s not all! The winner will be rewarded with 24 Official World Golf Ranking points too. The winner will gain 710 DP World Tour points. He posted 13-under 271 to secure a win over Tommy Fleetwood and Adrian Meronk.

Last year, the total purse of the event was €3,000,000 while the title winner Nicolai Hojgaard earned €485,330 and 710 points in the Dubai standings. So, the winner’s share has increased within the same amount of purse.
