The Mallorca Golf Open 2022 features a purse of €2 million. This is about equivalent to $2 million, with a minor difference related to ongoing inflation. It signifies an enormous jump of 100% well above €1 million in prize money granted for the competition last year.
The winner of this year’s Spanish event will get a substantial $333,330 prize money. This is around a 100% increase over last year’s $166,660 prize money for champion Jeff Winther. In addition, the runners-up will receive $222,220 this year, up from $111,110 last year. This means that in the competition, every position will witness a dramatic increase of 100% in prize money.
The increment will also apply to the bottom listers on the leaderboard. The final three players that make the top 65 will get $5,000, $4,800, and $4,600, respectively. In 2021, the same position holders received $2,500, $2,400, and $2,300, correspondingly.
