Mallorca Golf Open 2022 is a newly established golf event under the DP World Tour. The 2nd iteration of the event is going live on upcoming Thursday, October 20, 2022.
In 2021, the DP World Tour established the Mallorca Golf Open. It is the first time a golf event was held on the Spanish island since the Iberdrola Open in 2011. A second iteration for 2022 was confirmed in August as a result of its success.
Jeff Winther, a popular Danish golfer won the inaugural title of the event. Scoring 265, he won the event by one stroke over Sweden’s Sebastian Soderberg and local favorites Pep Angles and Jorge Campillo.
The 2nd edition of the event will feature a prize pool of €1 million. A total of 120 players will be participating in the upcoming Mexican golf tournament. Featuring 71 par, the event will be played in a stroke play format over the duration of 4 days.
