The DP World Tour 2022 season is coming to an end with only two events remaining. The Portugal Masters 2022, which will take place on October 27th, is the first of them.

The Portugal Masters first made its debut under the European Tour in 2007. During its inaugural iteration, it boasted a €3 million prize pool. This piqued the interest of many professional golfers since it was the wealthiest golf tournament in both Portugal and the top half of European Tour events at the time.
Since its establishment, the event has been an annual Portuguese golf event for the European Tour. The event was won by Belgian professional golfer Thomas Pieters in 2021. Meanwhile, two Canadian competitors, Lucas Bjerregaard and Nicolai Hojgaard tied for second place with French professional golfer Matthieu Pavon.
The 2022 iteration of Portugal Masters will be held under the DP World Tour. A total of 111 players will be participating in the upcoming event. With a prize fund of $2 million, the event will be played with a stroke play format with 71 par. Additionally, it will feature a lucrative 2,750 DP World tour points and 13.34 OWGR points for the winner of the tournament.

Portugal Masters 2022 Tee Times:
This year’s Portugal Masters will feature a list of 111 golfers. Surprisingly, none of them are from the top 50 of the DP World Tour. Participants will be divided into groups of three during round 1. The first group featuring Aaron Cockerill, Oliver Farr, and Andrew Wilson will tee off for the event at 03:00 a.m. ET. There will be a difference of 10 minutes between every group’s tee off time.
