RSM Classic is a popular Georgia-based professional golf tournament. Sanctioned under the PGA Tour, the event is held annually every November. The 2022 RSM Classic marks the 13th edition of the event.
Let us take a look at the prize money distribution of the ongoing PGA Tour event.
RSM Classic 2022 Purse:
The total RSM Classic 2022 Purse is $8.1 million. It is the biggest purse pool featured in the tournament so far. Previously, the purse pool of the 2021 RSM Classic was $7.2 million.
The winner’s share is set to $1,458,000 for the ongoing RSM Classic. Which is a 12.5% increment from the winner’s share last year. In 2021, the champion Talor Gooch received prize money of $1.296,000.
In addition, the runner-up will receive $882,900 this year. While the 3rd position holder will take $558,900 as a reward. In contrast, previous runner-up Mackenzie Hughes received a reward of $784,800. While Sebastian Munoz received $496,800 sitting in 3rd place.
Among the 165 participants, only the top 65 to make a cut in the first round will receive a share from the purse pool this year. As such, prize money of $17,739, $17,577, and $17, 415 is fixated for the 63rd, 64th, and 65th position holders respectively. Every position has seen a relatively nice increment in a purse.
