Tata Steel PGTI Players Championship is a series of professional golf events. The series is a part of the annual Professional Golf Tour of India, aka the Tata Steel PTGI series.
2023 Season of PTGI calendar featured two Players Championship events. One was held last February in Chandigarh, while the second one is scheduled to start in Chandigarh this Friday.
The upcoming Players Championship will feature a ₹1,000,000 prize money. During the competition, first and second rounds will be open for all invited participants. However, only the top-50 to make a cut will be qualified for the third and four round. Furthermore, the top-50 will only be eligible for a cut from the prize pool.
A total of 117 professional players have registered to participate in the field so far. Most of whom will be from India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Additionally, 96 golfers will join through q-school or amateur event qualifications. Popular Indian professionals like the defending champion Yuvraj Singh Sandhu, Udayan Mane, Khalin H Joshi and many more will be present in the event.
