Acting as a qualifier for the upcoming 2024 Olympics Games, the World Artistic Gymnastics Championship 2022 is scheduled to kick off upcoming Saturday, October 29th.

The World Artistic Gymnastics Championship is an international tournament for artistic gymnastics organized by the Federation Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). The event has taken place every year since 1903. Over sixty editions of the championships have been held as of 2019. Within this, over forty countries earned medals in both men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics events.
The upcoming event in 2022 will serve as a qualification event for the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. As usual, it will include both men’s and women’s competitions. Furthermore, the top three teams in both the men’s and women’s team finals will receive five quota spots for Paris and qualify for the team competition.
The World Artistic Gymnastics Championship 2022 will have a $350,000 prize purse. The upcoming event will feature 4,281 male athletes and 2,158 female athletes. The event will include an Ironman Village near the venue area, as it does every year. There, participants can do on-the-spot registration, buy Ironman merch, store bikes, and more.
