The World Junior Ice Hockey Championship is authorized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). World Junior Ice Hockey Championship 2023 will be the 47th official iteration of the event.
For the 3rd consecutive year, the international junior ice hockey competition is being held in Canada. It was originally scheduled for Russia. However, organizers pulled out the event from there due to their Ukrainian invasion.
Over 100 competitors from 10 different countries will be participating during the preliminary round of the event this year. Following which, the playoff stage will begin on January.

The 2022 World Junior Ice Hockey Championship is scheduled to begin on this Monday, December 26, 2022. The group stage of the event will begin with Sweden vs Austria at 01:30 p.m. ET. It will run till next Thursday, January 5, 2022.

The latest iteration of World Junior Ice Hockey Championship is slated to be held in two different cities of Canada. Group A games will be held at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. While Group B games will be held at Avenir Centre in Moncton, New Brunswick. However, following the semifinal, all games will be hosted in Scotiabank Centre.
