World Junior Karate Championship 2022 or officially known as “World Cadet, Junior and U21 Karate Championships” is the upcoming karate competition for U21 athletes. Sanctioned by the WKF, the event is set to begin this Wednesday.

In 1996, the World Karate Championship Junior was established. The first event was held in Johannesburg, South Africa, the same year. The World Karate Federation has conducted the event biennially since then (WKF). The karate tournament has three weight classes for each of the two genders.
The most recent World Karate Championship Junior was held in 2019. The competition was held in the Chilean city of Santiago that year. At present, Japan is leading the all-time medals leaderboard with 52 gold and a total of 97 medals.
