Cristiano Ronaldo’s saga continues

One of the greatest footballers ever, Cristiano Ronaldo has a huge fan following all over the world. He has the most followers on social media calculating the number of followers on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

Therefore, he’s doing something and that’ll be hot news among the fans, it’s obvious. However, the Portuguese International caught the headline this time for a sportive reason and it persists longer than ever.

Ronaldo left Juve in chaos :

When Juve signed the 33rd-year-old player from Real Madrid, they had one clear intention in their head and that was to win the Champions League. Personally, the player had a successful stint in Torino as he won 2 scudetto & scored 100+ goals nonetheless the speculation was always there that instead of enhancing the strength, CR7 actually deteriorated the stability of the squad.

After spending 3 years there, when the player understood that he could not be able to help the club to win their coveted title, he took a sudden decision. He wanted to leave Italy. Juventus was in an unsettled condition back then as they changed their manager and their star players were not performing.

This announcement came all of a sudden and Ronaldo urged his agent Jorge Mendes to do anything to find him a new club which resulted in a meeting with Manchester City. It created panic in the red half of Manchester as they couldn’t even think about seeing their loved son playing for their rival. Eventually, United bought him.

Ronaldo’s come back at Old Trafford:

It is a topic of discussion if Ronaldo increases the strength of the club or disoriented them but again on a personal level, the Portuguese player performed well. He scored 24 goals and provided 3 assists to his teammates in 38 appearances.

Some of his goals earned points but United finished the season with their lowest point tally in the Premier League ear with 58 points and they end the campaign in 6th place which means the previous season’s league runner-up won’t play the Champions League football this season.

There was a clause stipulated in Ronaldo’s contract which saw the player’s salary will be deducted 25% if the club won’t play in UCL. Yet, again the player told the Manchester United board that he wanted to leave the club to play in the Champions League.

Ronaldo is in short of suitors:

CR7 is not only a football player but becomes a brand and his huge individual fan base allows his club to earn a lot by selling his image. Nonetheless, the clubs with distinct footballing projects don’t want to sign him as he’s already 37 years old and he might cause breaking the harmony of the squad.

Similarly, his agent Mendes tries everything to find his customer a UCL playing club but it seems like all his pursuits are in vain. Some clubs have rejected the idea of signing one of the greatest players ever.

Chelsea:

The London-based club has observed many turmoil situations off the pitch as the long-term owner of the club Roman Abramovic had to step out and American businessman Todd Bohely bought the club with some other investors. He was eager to sign CR7 & held a meeting with the player’s agent nevertheless the German manager Thomas Tuchel is against the notion of signing the player. It’s now clear that Chelsea is not going to be the home of Cristiano next season.

Bayern Munich:

At the end of the season, the club’s star forward Robert Lewandowski expressed his desire to leave the club as he preferred to play for Barcelona. The deal is now closed & the Polish player is now a Barcelona property. Therefore, many suggest the club sign, Ronaldo, to fill the void. However, the director of the club Hasan Salihamidzic clarifies that they have no intention to sign the player. The Bavarian manager Julian Nagelsmann reiterated the same too.

PSG:

The French capital became a lucrative place for star players as the Qatari-owned club pay huge sums to their players and was an automatic champion of League 1. But they have Messi, Neymar, Mbappe, Ramos, and many other superstars at their rank at present and they have no desire to sign Ronaldo.

Cristiano has a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia of £250 million for 2 years. Some offers from MLS have also arrived but the player himself doesn’t want to leave Europe so early and rejected these proposals.

Ronaldo posing for United Shirts:

Speculation is there and it further ignites as Ronaldo didn’t take part in the club’s pre-season tour to Thailand and now to Australia. However, he posed for the shirt unveiling which further clouded the situation.

Ronaldo’s transfer saga continues and the fans are waiting for the end of it. The club must unearth a solution as it hampers their preparation for the coming season.
