XSET nails in Valorant Champions 2022, Playoffs to start on Friday

XSET has had the most stunning performance in the running Valorant Champions 2022 tournament. The North American team defeated the defending Masters Copenhagen champions FunPlus Phoenix in the group stage.

After being eliminated early at the Masters Copenhagen, XSET has been trying hard for a notable comeback. They have done the exact thing, without taking pressure against the strategic game plan of FPX. They won the series and advanced to the playoffs with the best record in their group C. Leviatán, OpTic Gaming, and DRX are the other teams who secured their spots in the playoffs so far.

“We’re here to win”, the team’s coach Don “Syyko” Muir said in a post-match interview. XSET will meet the winner of the Group D decider match between 100 Thieves and Fnatic on September 10, 5:00 p.m. GMT.

This is the second edition of the Valorant Champions, the most anticipated e-sports tournament for the Valorant game. The Playoffs will take place at the Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul, starting on 9th September. The round will allow a live audience present at the venue.

A total of eight teams will compete in the playoffs, which will also be played in a double-elimination bracket. All matches are best-of-three (BO3), except for the lower Bracket Final and Grand Final, those are best-of-five (BO5).
