Texans Lose to Bears Despite Jalen Pitre Masterclass

Texans’ safety, Jalen Pitre put on an absolute masterclass against the Bears in a match they lost 23-20.

In week 3 of NFL, the Houston Texans went up against the Chicago Bears at the Soldier Field Stadium. The bears were 1-1 for the season, while the Texans were still to yet grab a win for the 2022-23 NFL season. In a closely contested match, the  Bears emerged victorious beating their opponent by the margin of 23-20.

With a 0-2-1 record, the start of the regular season for the Texans has been nothing short of a nightmare. However, the performance of Jalen Pitre in the last match can be something positive to take for in what is otherwise on the way to becoming a disastrous season.

Playing as a Safety, Pitre put on an absolute clinic. The rookie provided two interceptions and a pivotal sack. His performance created huge opportunities for his team. However, the offense of Texans failed to make the best use of his plays. Ultimately, they fell short and lost the match.

“I think it’s a stepping stone, but I’m definitely not satisfied. I want to win. So, definitely not satisfied. I’m looking to improve each week and do a lot more,” Pitre said in an interview post game.

“Big shout-out to my coaches, they do a great job throughout the week putting me in great spots and helping me understand the things I’m going to see. I give a big shout-out to the older guys in my locker room,” he added.

Texans will be hosting the Chargers come Sunday for the 4th game of their season. If Pitre is able to keep up his current form, it is about time that the Apollos rack up their first win.
