NHL 2022-23 Preseason Schedule

On September 24, 2022, the NHL preseason for the 2022–23 season is slated to start. On July 2022, the complete schedule was made public. The first two games between the San Jose Sharks and the Nashville Predators will take place in Prague, Czech Republic.

NHL preseason games usually take place during the last two weeks of September. Each squad plays six to eight exhibition games. With the help of these games, coaches may evaluate their teams, give new players a chance to fight for roster spots and roles, and give seasoned players a chance to warm up before competitive action. Split-squad matches pit several members of a team’s lineup against one another.

There may be a number of neutral sites used for preseason games. The Kraft Hockeyville competitions, in which cities contend for the chance to host a preseason game, have been sponsored by Kraft Heinz since 2006 in Canada and 2015 in the U.S. There will also be a number of preseason matches played abroad, including contests involving NHL teams and teams from other international leagues.

When does the NHL 2022-23 Preseason start and end?

This year, it will begin on Saturday, September 24, and end on Saturday, October 8. On Saturday, September 24, the Senators and Maple Leafs will play two games to kick off the NHL preseason for the 2022–23 season. Each group will participate in one of the games when the two clubs divide up their teams.

On Saturday, Oct. 8, the preseason comes to a close. As part of the NHL Global Series, the Sharks and Predators will start the season in Europe before the official conclusion of the preseason. The final two days of the preseason will see the two games.
