Chile Open is a popular Chile-based professional tennis tournament. Alternatively known as Movistar Chile Open, the event is a part of ATP Tour’s annual 250 series. The event is played annually in the outdoor clay courts of Santiago. This year marks the 25th official edition of the Chile Open.
Italian professional tennis player, Lorenzo Musetti is the leading seed at the upcoming Chile Open 2023. He reached his career-highest 18th rank at ATP singles last week. He participated in the United Cup and helped team Italy reach the finals. Following that, he reached the 1st round at Australian Open 2023.
Francisco Cerundolo is the 2nd seed at the upcoming Chile event. The young Argentine is currently ranked 31st in ATP singles. In the recent Australian Open, Cerundolo reached the 3rd round. Last year at the Bastad Open, he defeated Sebastian Baez to win his maiden ATP title.
The 3rd seed at Santiago this week is Sebastian Baez. Another young tennis star from Argentina, he is ranked 35th in ATP singles worldwide. Baez was a gold medalist in the last Summer Youth Olympics. This month, he defeated Federico Coria and earned his career second ATP singles title at the Cordoba Open.
