French Open 2022 Purse and Payout

The French Open Final is knocking at the door, as Rafael Nadal is waiting to meet Casper Ruud in the final. One of the most talked about topics is how much will they make from the final. Here, we will know all the details about the French Open 2022 Purse and Payout.

French Open 2022 Purse:

In 2022, the total French Open 2022 Purse is estimated to be €43.6 million. The winners of the men’s and women’s tournaments will each get a check for €2,200,000. This is a 57.14 percent increase over the amount that Novak Djokovic and Barbora Krejikova got when they won the titles a year ago.

Although the entire French Open 2022 Purse for the clay-court Grand Slam was reduced by Covid-19 in the previous two years, it has increased to €43.6 million for this year’s competition. This is a 25 percent increase from the €34 million that was offered in 2021. It represents an increase of 6.8 percent as compared to the 2019 tournament, which was the final event that took place before the pandemic.

Last year, Novak Djokovic and Barbora Krejcikova were each awarded a winner’s check for €1.4 million (£1.1 million), but in 2022, the last two players remained in the singles competition in Paris will each get an amount that is almost twice that.

Additionally, the 2.2 million euros falls only 100,000 euros short of the record-breaking 2.3 million euros that the winners got in 2019. There is also good news for those who do not make it into the main draw.

Players who lose in the first qualifying round will receive €14,000, which is up from €10,000 the previous year. Players who lose at the final qualifying hurdle will be paid €31,000, which is also an increase from the previous year. Those who are eliminated in the first round of the main draw will get €62,000, which is a big increase over the €46,000 they received in 2019. So, there is a lots of changes in the French Open 2022 Purse and payout.
