Hobart International is a 29-year-old annual WTA Tour tennis tournament. The international hard court outdoor tournament is held annually in Hobart, Australia. Upcoming 2023 Hobart International is the 3rd international level WTA Tournament of this year. It will feature 32 players during the first round.
Marie Bouzkova is the leading seed of this year’s Hobart International. The Czech professional reached career highest 24th rank in WTA singles last December. She also reached career’s first quarterfinals of a Grand Slam at Wimbledon and won her first WTA title at Prague Open in 2022.
Belgian WTA professional Elise Mertens is the 2nd seed of this year. She is currently ranked 29th in WTA Singles worldwide. The former WTA doubles lead reached the fourth round of both French Open and Wimbledon last year. She was also part of the 2022 Tour Finals doubles champion duo.
Alize Cornet, the French professional is the 3rd seed at Hobart. The 32 years old tennis player is currently ranked 35th in WTA singles worldwide. Last year, she reached the quarterfinals at Australian Open. With the US Open participation, she also recorded 63rd consecutive major appearances in 2022.
