The Open de Limoges, officially titled “Open BLS de Limoges” is a professional female tennis tournament. The WTA 125k series tennis competition is played on indoor hard courts. Previously, it was a part of the ITF Women’s circuit tour.

The 2022 Open de Limoges is the 15th iteration of the event since its debut in 2007. It will feature competitions for both singles and doubles disciplines. The announced prize money will be the same amount as last year’s $115,000.

Chinese professional tennis player, Zhang Shuai is the leading seed in this year’s event. She has currently ranked 23rd in WTA worldwide rankings with 3 career titles. This year she earned her first singles title since 2017 at the WTA Lyon Open 2022. She also recently reached the fourth round at the US Open 2022.

Aliaksandra Sasnovich is the second seed at the French event. This 11 ITF singles title-holding Belarusian professional is ranked 31st in the WTA standings. This year, she reached the 4th round of the French Open. She also came runners-up at the Melbourne Summerset 2.



The 3rd seed of this year is Alize Cornet. Cornet is a French tennis pro with 6 career titles. She is ranked 35th in the WTA rankings right now. She reached the 4th round at Wimbledon this year. In addition, she participated in her career’s first quarterfinal at the Australian Open.
