Rio Open is a popular men’s professional tennis event. The ATP Tour 500 series event is played annually on outdoor clay courts. The upcoming 2023 tournament will be the 9th official iteration of the event.
Carlos Alcaraz is the first seed at Rio Open 2023. The Spanish professional is ranked 2nd in the ATP singles standing. He was a grand slam winner at the 2022 US Open. The 3rd seed of the upcoming Rio event is Lorenzo Musetti. This young Italian professional is ranked 20th in ATP singles worldwide. Reaching 18th position, he made his top-20 debut this January. Musetti won his career’s first two ATP titles last year, at Hamburg European Open and Tennis Napoli Cup.
