German Open is an annual badminton tournament held annually in Germany. It is sanctioned by BWF on their annual World Tour. The event is a part of the Super 300 series.

The upcoming edition of the event is dubbed “Yonex German Open 2023.” It will be the 64th edition of the tournament. It will feature a $210,000 prize pool and will run for 6 days from this Tuesday in Mülheim.

Latest iteration of the German Open is featuring Lee Zii Jia as the leading seed. The 24 years old Malaysian is currently ranked 4th in BWF men’s singles standings. He helped the Malaysian squad reach the quarterfinals of 2023 Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship.

Thai professional, Kunlavut Vitidsarn is the second seed at Germany this week. He is currently ranked 7th in singles standings worldwide. The young star won the silver medal at the 2022 BWF World Championships.

Kodai Naraoka is the 3rd seed at German Open. The Japanese is ranked reached his career highest 6th rank in the BWF men’ singles standing. He was the runner-up of recently completed Malaysia Open 2023.
