The latest event of the BWF World Tour is here. The popular German badminton event, Hylo Open 2022 is set to begin upcoming Tuesday, November 1st.

The Hylo Open is an event sanctioned under the BWF World Tour. It was previously known as BMW Open and Bitburger Open. The event was held as a Super 100 event from 2018 to 2020. But from 2022, it will be listed under the BWF Super 300 series. Since its inception in 1988, the Hylo Open has been a regular addition to the BWF Tour.
The Hylo Open 2022 will be a 6-day Super 300 event. It will include both singles and doubles competitions for men and women. Andres Antonsen and Lee Zii Jia were the tournament’s initial top two seeds. However, both withdrew for personal reasons.
Initially 3rd and currently leading seed of the event is the Taiwanese badminton player, Chou Tien-Chen. At present, he is ranked 4th in BWF men’s worldwide ranking. Participating in the BWF World Championships 2022, he recently earned a bronze medal. In addition, he recently won the Taipei Open and became runner-up in Indonesia Masters and Japan Open.
