The 17th spring season of League of Legends’ Championship Korea, LCK Spring 2023 journey is just beginning with the upcoming group stage on Wednesday.

LCK Spring or League of Legends Championship Korea Spring season is the well renown season-long championship tournament for Korean League of Legends scene. The long running esports league is very popular among the Southeast Asian MOBA fanbase.



LCK Spring 2023 will be the 17th edition of the popular championship event. It will act as the first split of Korea’s professional League of Legends league. A total of 10 well-known professional esports team will participate in the group stage of the event.

The event will be an offline event. It will feature a ₩375,000,000 prize pool. Which roughly amounts to $302,207 in USD. League of Legend’s developer Riot Games will organize the esports tournament in South Korea.

The upcoming spring event will maintain a double round robin format for the group stage using best of 3. The top 6 teams will qualify for the following playoff round which will later determine the champion of this spring season’s League of Legends professional league.

Prize Pool Distribution for the Event

LCK Spring 2023 is featuring a ₩370,000,000 prize pool in South Korean Won, which roughly amounts to $302,207 in USD. The prize money will be distributed among the top-four teams of the final standings. In addition, the 2023 spring champion and runner-up will also get a qualification spot for the upcoming mid-season invitational event coming on April.
