Aryna Sabalenka is the 3rd seed of the San Diego Open 2022. The 24-year-old Russian has had an uneventful year as she dropped out of the top 5. Sabalenka reached a career high, world no. 2 in 2021. However, her form dipped this year as she failed to win a single title. The highlight of her year was making the semi-finals in the Cincinnati Open.
