Daniel Carlson is a football placekicker for America’s Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He attended college football at Auburn. In college, he became the SEC’s all-time leading scorer. The Minnesota Vikings selected him for the  NFL Draft 2018. After leaving Minnesota, he joined the Raiders.

He made his debut against the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League. Carlson missed 1 field goal and 2 in overtime against the Green Bay Packers. The next day, Carlson was replaced by veteran Dan Bailey.

Las Vegas Raiders:

In 2018, Oakland Raiders signed Carlson. He made his debut against Indianapolis Colts in week 8 after signing. He lost the game by converting all four extra-point attempts in a 42–28. Then Carlson made 2 extra points and 3 field goals. He won a 35-yard game. Then he did win over the Arizona Cardinals. With all of this success, he earned AFC Special Teams Player of the Week.

He converted his 94% field goal attempts for the Raiders in 2018. It was a record.

In 2020, Carlson was again signed to a 1-year contract. In Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers, he was a perfect 4 for 4 on his extra point. He made a career-long 54-yard field goal and won. 

In 2021, the Raiders placed Carlson as a 2nd-round restricted free agent. He signed the tender. Carlson signed a four-year with Raiders with an extension of $18.4 million. He became the third-highest paid kicker in the NFL. In the season of 2021, the Raiders got the best Carlson’s kicking performance. When against the Cleveland Browns, Carlson made all 3 field goal attempts and won the game for the Raiders. Then against the Indianapolis Colts, Carlson undoubtedly converted all 3 field goal attempts and won the game. Carlson made 5 field goals in the final game against the Los Angeles Chargers and won the game.
